(Ceres,
CA) –Today, Former Ceres Mayor and current Ceres Unified School District
Trustee Eric Ingwerson announced his support for GOP 25th Assembly
District frontrunner Janice Keating.
“There’s
a reason why local Republican leaders are consolidating their support
around Janice Keating for this Assembly District,” said Former Mayor
Ingwerson. “That’s because we know Janice will stand up for our values
in Sacramento; smaller, more efficient government, lower taxes, and
a fiscally sound budget. Voters are sick of the ridiculous amount
of taxes they have to pay, and they want change. Janice Keating is
just the person for the job. I’m proud to support her for the Assembly.”
Eric
Ingwerson joins an impressive and growing list of GOP leaders backing
Janice Keating, including:
| National
Tax Limitation Committee President Lew Uhler |
Waterford
Councilman Michael Van Winkle |
| Madera
County Sheriff John Anderson |
Ceres
Councilman Ken Lane |
| Modesto
Mayor Jim Ridenour |
Ceres
Councilman Guillermo Ochoa |
| Modesto
Councilman Dave Geer |
Patterson
Councilwoman Annette Smith |
| Waterford
Councilman Ken Krause |
Oakdale
Councilman Tom Dunlop |
Janice
Keating was first elected to the Modesto City Council in 2001, where
she utilized her strong fundraising and broad-based grassroots effort
to unseat an incumbent. She has chaired the city’s Finance and Economic
Development Committees and served as the Vice-Chair of the Audit Committee.
She has also served on the Stanislaus Council of Governments, the
Modesto Irrigation District Domestic Water Policy Board, and the Stanislaus
County Family Justice Center Steering Committee, among others.
In 2004,
Janice was honored in the state capitol as Woman of the Year from
the 25th Assembly District, named by then Assemblyman Dave Cogdill.
