(Waterford,
CA) -Waterford City Council Members Ken Krause and Michael Van Winkle
announced their support for former Modesto Councilwoman Janice Keating
in the Republican primary for the 25th Assembly District.
These
recent endorsements add to a growing list including Madera Sheriff
John Anderson, Modesto Mayor James Ridenour, Modesto Councilman Dave
Geer, conservative talk-radio host Dave! Diamond and dozens of local
small-business leaders.
Janice
Keating was first elected to the Modesto City Council in 2002, re-elected
in 2005, chaired the Economic Development Committee and was Vice-Chair
of the Audit Committee. In 2004, she was selected by then Assemblyman
Dave Cogdill as "Woman of the Year" for the 25th Assembly District.
Janice Keating is a member of the Modesto Chamber of Commerce, Stanislaus
County Farm Bureau and served as a Member on the Modesto Irrigation
District Domestic Water Policy Board. She attended Central Catholic
High School in Modesto and the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Janice has been married to Tim Keating for 21 years and has two teenage
children.
