Development of farmland, deterioration of old neighborhoods. I see the connection:

 

Local government needs to put its own house in order before approving new ones. That means working together to plan for development, growth and our future - regionally.

 

Government isn't a substitute for community:

When I saw homeless people in the cold, I turned to the community - not the government.  In eight weeks our churches, our businesses, our neighbors built the Salvation Army's Winter Homeless Shelter.

 

They say that if you love what you do, you'll be good at it: 

I love serving the people of our region.  I hope you think I'm getting good at it.

County roads, City Streets, State Highways:

The same people are paying for them; you and me. We're all stuck in the same traffic- that's a regional issue and we're going to solve it as a region.

 

And developers aren't going to get away without paying their fair share.

All residents of our county, both urban and rural, benefit from our combined economy.
